New Provider Training

Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal for Kids and Teens Attestation

The CA Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) released a training requirement for the EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment) Services that benefit our Medi-Cal members under the age of 21 years.

This benefit is referred to as Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens. A training that must be completed every two years by all Network Providers who care for this population.

Since this training is already completed by new providers in the LA Care portion, please attest to completing the training in Anthem’s Provider Pathways to be marked off for them as well.

How to attest that this training has been completed with another managed care plan:

  • Register for Provider Pathways – link is below
  • Choose the Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens training
  • Indicate “Yes, I have taken the Medi-Cal for Kids & Teens Provider Training within the past 2 years”
  • Fill out the attestation form and hit “Finish” to submit this form
  • Anthem will use this data for the Annual DHCS Attestation which lists each individual provider who has completed the training in the previous year
